Difficulty level: Easy - A linear coastal walk that follows the shores of Lough Foyle from Moville to Greencastle. This is relatively level walk with a few short ascents. The majority of the walk is on a defined pathway, however there are sections where you will be required to walk along a beach and road in order to complete the walk to Greencastle. Both villages offer an opportunity to grab a bite to eat and take in the local atmosphere before your return journey.

It may be possible to complete your walk along the coast without going on the road, however there is no defined path and it may be necessary to climb over a number of coastal rocks which can be unsafe and not recommended. You're advised to walk until you reach the sign on the fence directing you towards Greencastle as shown in the photo section below.
